Your author gave his thoughts and predictions of what would come from the Virginia Tech shooting in an April 16th entry. He was proven correct when the droves of lefty types such as Rosie O’Donnell and various media pundits utter gun control as the solution. They cannot accept that the occasional random act of violence, which every country can and has experienced, are perpetrated by a lone, sick individual and that somehow we the citizenry should give up a Constitutional Right in order to appease the Left.

To make matters worse the gunman, one deranged character named Cho Seung-hui, mailed a manifesto to NBC. The media giant contacted the local authorities, forwarding them copies of the material and then proceeded to air the video over and over again. Now police authorities and investigators could have possibly used the items to understand this lunatic’s mind. What NBC did with their actions was to rub salt on the wounds of grieving families. There was never a pause or consideration by the NBC brass. It was sensational news on the back of an atrocity. NBC, along with the other big media machine outlets, have once again lowered the bar on standards. Your author has commented on this before. More recent incidents involved the ‘baby daddy’ fiasco surrounding Ann Nicole Smith’s daughter and the ridiculous tirades following the Don Imus fiasco. Were these stories worthy of the time and energy the big media machine devoted to them?

The media has continued to hype and hype the Virginia Tech story. It isn’t that your author disagrees with covering the story but it is the manner in which these media outlets go about reporting it. It isn’t enough this was an awful tragedy but the media industry must politicize the moment and dwell on how this could have been prevented. There is no way Cho’s actions could have been stopped. What is now known is that Cho was obviously disturbed. However the media portrayal of his shooting is believed to have spurned what is referred to as copycats. While several have turned out to be threats there has been a murder suicide at Houston’s NASA center. Will the big media machine own up to these or at least take partial responsibility? These may not have occurred if Cho’s media manifesto had not been aired.

Well as the US’s big media machine spins the Cho shooting into infinitum waiting for the next story, there are events that aren’t being reported on. This week Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Peter Pace stated that coalition forces engaged located in Afghanistan’s southern province Kandahar discovered a cache of mortars and plastic explosives en route to Taliban forces. The kicker was that these weapons were made in Iran.

Your author’s first question is where is the American Left? These are the same folks that criticized President Bush for entering in Iraq by reminding him that the ‘genuine’ terrorists were held up in Afghanistan. They also presented a belief that if only Osama bin Laden was captured that suddenly, as if some magic pixy dust was sprinkled down on earth, that radical Muslim terrorists would disappear! When we know that isn’t a realistic scenario.

The American Left, which is quickly becoming the base for the modern day Democrat Party while they operate in sync with groups such as moveon.org, should be calling for war with Iran. They (the American Left) have already stated that the US should focus on Afghanistan and go after ‘those’ terrorists. And if these terrorists are being supplied by Iran, ergo, shouldn’t the Coalition Forces go into Iran? Now imagine if such event did play out. Would this be easier to accomplish if Iraq, which borders Iran for those who are geographically illiterate, was still under the thumb of Saddam Hussein? The American Left would be best advised to review a map of the Mid East if they still aren’t understanding your author.

Now of course the American Left wouldn’t support such an engagement. No the reader should know that the American Left would like to the US throw up their curtains, shore up society with entitlement programs and call it a day. The only problem is that many from the moveon.org crowd are too ignorant to understand that if such ideology was in play that their personal lifestyle would be greatly altered.

The problem with Iran, their links with Taliban and other terrorist groups isn’t the American Left. Well they are part of the equation on why many cannot understand the magnitude of fighting the Muslim radicals. The other part of this Iran equation involves several countries who wish to play both sides of the fence.

Recall when Iran kidnaped 15 Royal Sailors and Royal Marines off the waters of Iraq. Now Iran claimed the British servicemen and women were infringing on Iran, as claimed by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and comedian Rosie O’Donnell. As we found out later upon their release and the announcement of the GPS measurements, both Ahmadinejad and O’Donnell were wrong. While America and Australia condemned the antics displayed by Iran the European community was silent. Why is that? Why would the European Union, which Great Britain belongs to, say very little about the international incident? According to the European Union’s own report the coalition of countries is Iran’s biggest trading partner in both exports and imports.

So what can be done with Iran? Should we as a country, subscribing to the Left’s thinking, lie down and become compliant? The American Left has already managed to diminish the seriousness of Islamic seriousness. Your author dare asks how many more 9-11 style of attacks on US soil will have to happen to convince a portion of our population? Will the Eiffel Tower or London’s Big Ben have to fall to a terrorist attack in order to open the eyes of the EU? Will the American Left begin to see that the European Multi-Culturalism model has failed? That they themselves are living in a potential landmine with their numerous undocumented residences and the growing impact of Islam on European society.

What your author just shared with the reader are his thoughts of recent events unfolding on an international field. The reader would be advised not to look at the US media machine for such coverage of important events. That is unless they deem ‘baby daddy’ story worthy of their attention.
